bum's home the bums bum's life
bum's best friend bum's thoughts bummin' around bum's future

We get to live the life of bums because we are very blessed.

1.  We have five very independent kids (two sons, two daughters in law and one daughter) who are busy with their jobs, friends and family. Our kids encourage us to run and play (and stay out of their hair).
Jamie, Luchi & Natalie This crew lives in Bogota, Colombia. Natalie has a new baby brother and will kiss him 1000 times a day. Jamie continues to teach school and Luchi is Vice President of a branch bank. Nati just turned 3 and is a princess and will tell you that if you forget it. Martin was born in December 2009.

Casey, Lori and Katy This couple lives in Austin where they own their own business and Lori works for a marketing firm.  They are the proud parents of Katy who has got to be the most pleasant baby in the world. Being happy is her favorite pastime and she does it well. They enjoy camping on their property in nearby Leake.

Bethany (GracieB) The baby of the group is a senior at Corpus A&M. She just turned 22 and will graduate in May 2010. Up next - full time job.

2.  Our parents have helped us with this life by providing us with examples of hard work and thrifty living. Growing up on a family farm in west Texas is good training for budgeting and planning. Our parents called it survival.   Link to JL and Faye's web.
3. Adding to our bums life - well there are all of our friends, who thankfully have never worried about Jones or how to keep up with him. Friends who think the only thing better than dollar beers are dollar beers with free chips!!!  No one will ever convince us that our friends are not unique and special.
4.  We also get to live the bums life because we take care of ourselves. We exercise, eat home cooking more than we eat out and we live each day with a smile. We both believe that attitude is the best medicine and we much prefer a dose of happiness to a dose of castor oil. (no preaching, just facts)
