The
cost of the cruise is approximately $1000 for two people in
a cabin. This includes insurance. Please plan on
insuring your trip. The easiest way to explain why you
should . . . if you get up Saturday morning with a raging
case of pink eye, you will NOT be allowed on the ship (thank
goodness). If you are insured you do not lose
everything. If you aren't. Good bye money.
Your $1000 includes:
Food (enough to gain 10 pound in 5 days.
Cabin (with maid service every day)
Movies, games, music, shows, comedy club, dancing, pools,
hot tubs, 2 islands and deck parties
It does NOT include:
Alcohol (and yes it can get expensive)
Pictures taken by the ship's photographer
Gambling and Bingo
Specialty restaurants (never ate at one)
Shopping
Shore excursions
Tips for staff on the ship ($13 each cruiser per day and worth every penny)
Parking at the port

We booked 8426 which is an inside cabin. We are seldom in our room
other than to sleep and the money we save goes a long way on
our next trip. We do pay extra for a cabin on a higher
floor. The buffet and pool are on deck 10. The
dining rooms and activities are usually on 3,4 and 5.
We like to book deck 8 (cabins above and below). We
can walk up and down 2 flights of stairs which helps keep
the pounds off and frees up elevators for those who can't walk stairs.
Long explanation of why we "move up". The price to
move from deck 1 to deck 8 is about $30 per couple.
Window cabins are only on deck 1 and 2. Balconies are
found on almost all decks. Book the cabin that works
for you.
We book the "your time" dining option. This allows us
to eat in the main dining room without a scheduled time.
We use Audrey Kent for our bookings. She is a Carnival
booking agent and we have never been steered wrong. If
you do book please ask that your reservation be linked to us. This lets Carnival know
we are traveling as a group. Audrey's contact
information is: email
akent@carnival.com.
Her phone number is 305 599 2600 x 82989.
