It is not even fall 2015 and the campaigning has begun - and then some.  The lies, the finger pointing, the total bullshit called election .... and guess what?  Election day is not until Tuesday, November 8, 2016.  By the time that day arrives I know most of us will be ready to scream, cuss or both.   Unlike celebrities who threaten to leave the country if so and so is elected, let's leave the country no matter who is elected!

Vote early (and if we lived in Chicago we could vote often) and sail out of Galveston on Saturday, November 5, 2016.  Spend election day in Jamaica. Then enjoy Wednesday in the Cayman Islands instead of enduring a continual rehash of the election.  Thursday parasail on the beach or party like a rock star in Cozumel while the media drones on and on and on.  Arrive back in port early Saturday morning and hustle home to watch a full day of college football.

For the Protest Cruisers

Carnival Freedom
The 110,000-ton Carnival Freedom combines a slew of amenities with the exciting atmosphere of Carnival’s “Fun Ships” to create a resort-like feel onboard.  Adults can relax in the adult-only Serenity Retreat. First-rate movies and highly anticipated concerts and sporting events take center stage on the Lido Deck’s 12-by-22-foot jumbo-sized LED screen. After dinner, guests can enjoy spectacular performances in the Victoriana Lounge or get a dose of comic relief at Punchliners. A diverse selection of bars and lounges are open late into the night for lively musical entertainment, drinks and dancing.  Carnival's information regarding the ship is found here.

These rates do not include taxes and fee.  A deposit is required at booking.

This is not a "group cruise".  We are just a few intelligent folks that are SICK AND TIRED of being lied to by 99% of politicians and then told what to think by the media.

Pick an inside cabin, ocean view, balcony or go hog wild with a suite.  Sign up for early dining, late dining or your time dining,. Select what works best for you.  Book online, use an agent or call a Carnival representative.  The main thing is to miss the kerfuffle known as election day and the bullshit that surrounds it!

We'll show those spoiled rotten rich celebrities how to do it!  They threaten to leave in protest when something doesn't go their precious little way.  Well Sean Penn see our backsides sliding out of port!   We may not be rich, but when we say "ENOUGH"  . . . WE MEAN IT!

How amazing would it be to spend election day in protest . . .  drinking adult beverages in paradise.  If we get arrested it won't be for stealing a television and burning a car like other protestors.   And it sure beats the hell out of staying home, listening to bullshit and screaming curse words at the television.

This information is being sent to our friends (and some family).  Feel free to spread the word to your friends and (some) family.  If you have any questions - I'll try to help and Audrey is a huge help.

FYI:  Micky and I booked cabin 8424 on Veranda deck. (We book inside on higher deck - it is just what we do.)  We selected my time dining.  We used Audrey, the Carnival representative we've used in the past.  Her email is mailto:akent@carnival.com.  Her phone number is 305 599 2600 x 82989.   (We always insure our cruise - again it is just what we do.)   And yes we booked early.  But it gives us something to look forward to and in my heart I made a statement, "I am sick and tired of the bullshit!"

Newbie Cruisers:  The following are not included in the price you pay for your cruise:
Parking at the port, photographs taken by Carnival photographers, alcohol (beer, wine, mixed drinks), sodas, specialty coffees, shore excursions and there is a steak house on board that is not included (However, there is enough free food to kill a moose).  Also tips are charged at $12 per person per day.  All but tips (and probably parking) are controlled by the cruiser.  And one more item to include on this list - losses in the casino!

If you are new to cruising  spend a little time on the Carnival web site looking at the deck plans and comparing prices.  (Rooms under/above the theatre and disco - well you might want to think about those.  If you are interested in a balcony - make sure you know where the lifeboats are, etc.)
