We are researching (another good excuse for traveling) the option of retiring overseas. Of course the first thing we need to do is learn to speak Spanish.  Micky is doing fairly well, I'm just planning on sticking close to him.

Plans

I am going to write a novel. Goodness knows I read enough - both good and bad.  I think one reason I would love to write - I could do it at home and even on the beach. It's not as easy as you think and it takes a lot of planning, organizing and time.

There is a group of us "my age" that want to write a book about how certain women get on our nerves, embarrass us and just basically make us want to slap them.  One of the proposed chapters:  Buying a crown at Walmart does not make you a princess. Hey if we wait a few years we can title book "Soapbox for Seniors".

Micky plans on working and following me around on my travels.  However as my retirement gets closer he is starting to think about his future plans and he is discovering that retirement is calling his name and he is listening. 

I would love to have my travel agents license and offer seminars on "how to travel".  However, since I still need to work to support my travel habit, I'm planning on documenting my travel hints and tips on the web.  Someday there will be a link right here that will take you to my travel web site - like I said, someday.

We would like to take my folks on the Alaskan Cruise.  We would love to convince Mick's mom to fly - anywhere.  And I would like to give Julie the chance to wade in the ocean.  We would also like to take my dad to see the Pearl Harbor memorial.  As a WWII vet it would mean a lot to him. 

We would like to take all of our kiddos to Mexico or on a cruise.  More than anything we would like to introduce the grandkids to the wonders of a beautiful beach.

As for Micky, well he would like to do Tech football one year.  That is make each and every game - home and away.  Then pick a year and do that for the men's basketball team. 

Since we both work for the government - - - fulfillment of our dreams will depend on our luck at the lottery.
